breathwork fundamentals

Have you heard the buzz about the benefits or breathwork and how it can help us thrive in the modern world? Come and learn some for yourself. 

The seasoned yogi may already have a pranayama practice but Pilates people this one is for you too!!

We will delve into three different types of breathwork, their applications and benefits. With lots of practise of course. 

Then lets refresh with a gorgeous stretch and savasana (relaxation) 

lunar new year yoga + crystal singing bowls

Saturday February 10th

Celebrate the Lunar New Year by refreshing your intentions for the year ahead.

  • Let's mind map with some journal prompts to clarify where we want 2024 to take us.

  • Stretch, breathe and renew with some flowing yoga.

  • Seal the practice with a delicious sound bath from the crystal singing bowls.


yoga for the chakras

Saturday April 13th 

11AM

 

Explore this incredible energy system and the yoga that correlates to each chakra.

 

What are chakras? Where can I find them? We will identify all seven and learn a little about their function before enjoying some yoga poses that either stimulate or soothe each centre.

This workshop will have us up and moving 

with some lovely hatha yoga before we settle in for a beautiful yoga nidra (guided meditation)

Yin Yoga Saturdays

Something special for all you yin lovers!

Select Saturday afternoons at 4pm are dedicated to this delicious low and slow style of yoga.

Yin yoga uses props such as bolsters and blocks to assist staying in poses for up to five minutes. Suitable for all levels of experience but don't be surprised that it's not easy.

Often confused with restorative yoga, yin targets the deep connective tissue and joints.  We work with the meridien lines that you may know from TCM or acupuncture thus nourishing the internal organs.

Perfect for cultivating stillness, a deep nervous system re set and for sports recovery.

All workshops $35 per person

No prior yoga experience needed but you must be able to participate in a group exercise class and be fairly injury free for the yoga workshops.

Crystal singing bowl events are suitable for all though not always recommended for late pregnancy or those with sensory issues. 

Limited places available

Minimum numbers required for workshop to go ahead.
